Gloria Old Course (link)
The Gloria Old Course, designed by Michel Gayon, opened in 1997.
It has been the venue for 3 European seniors tour tournaments, and the European mid-amateur championships.
The course carved out of a pine forest, features 4 large lakes, which come into play on 7 of the holes.
The placement of the tee shots is the priority when playing the old course, strategically placed trees, and bunkers have to be avoided to offer you a clear line to many of the greens.
An easy walking course through the beautiful forest with magnificent views of the Taurus Mountains, and the comfort of the Gloria Resort and Verde Hotels, have made the Gloria Old Course the most popular golf destination in Turkey.
We will be the first tournament to play there and the opening celebrations will be something to remember!
The Gloria New Course
The New Course, also designed by Michel Gayon, opened in November 2005 has created a new world record, starting construction to opening in superb condition in only ten and half months.
As with the old course, it has been constructed through the pine forest, and features 3 large lakes with water coming into play on 8 holes. The new course features undulating fairways, many elevated tees, the greens are cleverly guarded by bunkering and overhanging pine trees, making the priority on the approach shots.
The 17th, 147 meters to an island green surrounded by a bunker, and the 18th, 428 meters with water all the way from tee to green on the left, trees on the right, and a large tree protecting the right side of the green, offer you a finish to the round you will never forget.
The National Golf Course (link)
Designed by Ryder Cup Player David Feherty, has played host to the PGA European Turkish Seniors Open. Carved through a forest of eucalyptus and pine trees with the back-drop of the snow capped Taurus Mountains and an abundance of natural lakes, the National will test players of all abilities.
Opened in late 1994, the National has taken only six years to win international recognition in the year 2000 rankings of UK's Golf World magazine as the number 42 and in the year 2001 rankings' as the number 39 golf course in mainland Europe, and also in Germany's Die Welt magazine as the number 9 golf course on the European Mediterranean coasts in 2000.
